Confirmation of truth is vital if we are going to have, enjoy and share the Abundant Life Jesus came to grant us. One of the Holy Spirit’s missions is to lead and confirm God’s truth to us. (John 16:13) Here’s a truth we must come to understand: we will always feel incomplete and not 100% satisfied in this world because we were NOT created for this fallen world. We were created for Paradise. And as we pray, this truth is confirmed in our hearts, more and more.
We were made to live in harmony with God, others, creation and within ourselves. This will be our glorious reality in Heaven. In the meantime, we enjoy this world as much as we can, while waiting for Paradise. The more we grasp this truth, the more we will be able to hold on to God when life becomes filled with challenges. Then the “light and momentary afflictions,” we experience will not overwhelm us, but in Christ, we will be able to overcome them instead…and be better off because we did. Let God confirm this truth in you today.
