“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jn 3:16 NIV
It is because God so loved the world, that He gave us His one and only Begotten Son. This is what Love does, it gives and it gives, it’s first and its best. God Himself came down in Human form to live the perfect life, to be our perfect sacrifice and to give us the opportunity to be reconciled, redeemed and restored.
Once we receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord, the Holy Spirit transforms our spirit from death to Life, so we can be united with God, becoming one with Him, now and forevermore. Instead of being sinful in nature, and thus enemies of God, we now can enter into a friendly relationship with Him. Believing in what God has given us in Jesus reconciles us.
Once we are reconciled, we are redeemed. We are acquitted from all our past, present and future sinful behavior because we are covered in God’s Love, forevermore. We are cleared or absolved from our poor attitude, selfish thoughts and imperfect actions. We become children of God who are still growing into who we will be for all time. Believing in what God has given us in Jesus redeems us.
Once we are redeemed, God restores us into who we were always meant to be, His. God reinstates our identity as His kids. With this New Identity comes all the gifts and privileges of being a member of the Royal Forever Family. This means we have access to the Fruit of the Spirit, so we can begin to actually act like His holy children. Again, believing in what God has given us in Jesus restores us.
