Freedom comes only through the Love of God. Say this amazing verse with me by heart today:
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Jn 8:32 NIV
Yes, the Love of God is the only power that can bring the dead to Life, those in darkness into the Light and those who walk the MMI path to the selfless and fulfilling road of Love. It really is all about Love. This type of Love introduces us to The Truth. This type of Love teaches us to distinguish between lies and truth. This type of Love continues to forgive when we mess up, because we will. This type of Love will always mold us, comfort us, guide us, provide for us, open doors for us…and so on and so on. My Friends, if you have never surrendered to this type of Love, won’t you get real with God today? Pray something like this:
God, I have tried to live a good life on my own, but the peace and joy I crave does not last. I now realize I am a sinner in need of The Savior. Please forgive me and send me the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Father, for so loving me. Thank You, Jesus, for paying my sin debt in full. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for entering my heart and giving me Everlasting Life. Today I am a New Creation in Christ. Hallelujah and amen!
My Friends, if you have prayed that prayer for the first time, or the 101st time, please know that NOW you can make a choice. With every decision you must make in life you can choose between life and death. You can choose between following The Way or your own crooked path. You can choose to love God and others as yourself or just love yourself. This is what God’s Love gives us, the freedom to choose for ourselves. More on that next week…
