Our Salvation is For Everyone

Let’s say it by heart today:

“For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” Jas 2:26 ESV

Without our spirit, the core of our being, we are dead. Likewise, without displaying our Faith by doing good works, we might as well be dead for all the good it does anyone else. Praise God if we have sincerely given our lives to Jesus, we will go to Heaven, but will anyone else know Jesus because of our Salvation? Our Salvation is not about us. First, it is about God’s Love and Grace. Second, it is meant to draw others to Christ too, as we love them the way Jesus loves us. Then yes, hallelujah we can begin to experience the Abundant Life here AND have Eternity there, forevermore. We must choose to show this New Creation Life by displaying our Faith through the good we do here.

We must connect with God, the Giver of Life. This means becoming born again, yes, but also centering our thoughts on God, as we said last week. Then, we must allow God to transform us from the inside out, so we can do good works, with a pure and humble heart. The more we become like Him, the more we will live like Him. Our Faith will not be useless, it will bless those around us. Our Faith will not be futile, it will display the Fruit of the Spirit. Our Faith will not make no difference, it will cause a lasting change in this world. Everyone benefits when we do good works. One last thing, you and I were made for these good works…we will talk about that with our next verse starting tomorrow. Do you know which one I am referring to?
