Who Fights This Battle?

Last week we talked about how we do not need to be afraid or discouraged about the battles we face because, ultimately, the battle belongs to God. I spoke about how, when we follow Jesus, we can experience victory in the struggles we encounter…but the truth is, there are some battles that we cannot even lift a finger to fight. Those are all God! Only He can do what needs to be done to grant us the victory. Let’s continue with this idea with our next “verse to remember” from this great story in 2Chronicles 20, this is verse 17, listen:

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.’” 2Chron 20:17 NIV

There were so very many times in Beckie’s journey where I had to fully rely on God doing the impossible to keep her alive. This week, I would love to share one of these stories where I had to trust God exactly like these Israelites had to here. There was absolutely nothing I could do but take my position, stand firm, then watch what God would do, and it was incredible. I will break down the story all week so we can get a deeper understanding of this great verse….and perhaps you can look back on your own walk and see where the battle was all the Lord’s and it was only because of His power that you received victory too.
