Lack for Nothing

When we go through trials with our Joy intact, staying connected to our Lord and receiving whatever it is we need to get to the other side of the challenges…that’s called perseverance. When we mature to be able to persevere through come what may, we feel like we lack for nothing… exactly because we are staying connected to our Lord and receiving whatever it is we need to get to the other side of the challenges.

James is not talking so much about material things here, but access to all the spiritual and soulful gifts God has given us. That peace that helps us keep a clear mind and make good decisions. Again that joy that strengthens us to do whatever we need to do to get to the other side of the issue. And a sense that everything is right with our corner of the world, even when it remains challenging. This is what we will have that will grant us the Abundant Life, then everything else will be added to us. (Mt 6:33)
