Here’s a shocker: you and I are imperfect children of God! I know that shouldn’t catch us by surprise, but this is one more reason we should pray to our very understanding and merciful God: we need correction!
Correction is good for us. It shows us where we are going astray from the godly person He originally created us to be. The more we receive His correction, the more we can be transformed into His beautiful and holy image. This will help us be more and more like God, being able to remain at peace and to have joy no matter what is going on. That stability, in the face of challenges, is priceless. Don’t be afraid of it, embrace correction instead. Correction is part of how we become like Jesus.
