Our Father, Who art in Heaven…what is one thing we can learn from this last part? That God is above and beyond this world. He is not limited like we humans are. We are still pretty much limited to this earthly realm, while God lives outside of Space & Time. Yes, I know this makes our brains hurt because it is difficult to imagine, yet this is our Father’s reality.
A good example of this would be you and me watching a parade. We would be standing street level in one location, seeing each float pass us by. The floats that have already gone past us we kind of remember, but we certainly do not recall every detail of each one. The float right in front of us we kind of see, but certainly not from every angle and we cannot notice every single aspect of them. And the floats that have yet to pass us, we have no idea what they will be. That’s our limited viewpoint. God, on the other hand, would be standing on a tall building where He can see the entire parade, from beginning to end, all in one picture. Of course, this too is a limited example because, God not only sees the whole parade, but every minute detail of every float and from every possible angle!
Our Father Who art in Heaven…this should give us relief. It should give us assurance. And it should help us trust God, because our Father truly does know best!
