You and I are supposed to have arm PITS, not arm PUFFS! If we are to lift our arms up to examine underneath, we should see that this area pits inward, not puffs outward. If you do have arm puffs…like me…this could be a sign that our Lymphatic System, which is a huge part of our Immune System, is congested and that the fluid in it, called lymph, is not flowing properly. This is important because, while our liver is the major detoxification organ in our bodies, it is the Lymphatic System that captures toxins so that we are able to remove them from our bodies. If we are congested, if the lymph is not flowing, then we might be holding on to toxins that can cause us physical harm.
The Lymphatic System is like a sewage system, where it grabs all the toxins throughout our body and brings them to a place where they can be eliminated. Unlike the circulatory system, there is no organ like our heart that pumps the lymph through the Lymphatic System. The way that this fluid moves is through us being active. Our movements “pump” the lymph to where it can go to eliminate any toxins in this system. For instance, if it goes to our lungs, we can breathe out toxins. If it is near the surface of our skin, we can sweat them out of our bodies. But if it is not flowing, then they can stay stuck within us and cause problems to us.
Again, moving helps keep everything flowing in our bodies which helps us be healthier, and through this Lymphatic System, we can get rid of many toxins…but it’s not the only way…more tomorrow
