As we grow individually with God, in this most amazing relationship, we must share it with others. Why? So that we can see life from a larger perspective, as we share what we have learned with one another. Again the way you view life and the way your husband does, for instance, is very different because you both have lived different lives. Your experiences have not been the same as your spouse’s. So as we each share what we are learning, now we are expanding our own understanding about life in general, and about our mate too, because we begin to see things through the eyes of the other person. We can gain insight into each other’s hearts which can change our assumptions about one another. And the more we get to know each other through the eyes of God, the more peace we can have because we will understand each other better.
This has always been God’s Plan: for each human to know Him, to learn from Him, then to share all we have learned with the other people God has placed in our lives. Think expanding circles here. We make our environment more peaceful as we grow and share our growth with our spouse. Learning about God and one another in light of His Word, grants us a less stressful environment at home. But don’t stop there…
