Do NOT forget the children! In order to have a more secure home environment, reading and studying the Bible with our mate is of vital importance, but we are commissioned to teach the next generation too! We can model this most lovely habit to our children, but we must also directly interact with them, by interacting with God’s Word, together too.
With a world that indoctrinates our children, right from kindergarten now, with all sorts of lies, we parents MUST fill them with Truth. We must help them begin, and then keep alive, a real relationship with God. We must equip them with the power to counter the false narrative surrounding them and help them give reason for their hope. And according to the Bible, we should do this all day long! Dt 6:7 says “Teach them to your children, and talk about them when you sit at home and walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (NCV) Parents, we MUST take this literally or lose our children to this growing insanity.
Reading, studying and talking about the Bible and what we are learning in tangible ways must be a priority in every Christian home.
