When all seems like it is spiraling out of control, Church, how can we still have Hope? One word: PRAYER!!! God is our Hope and connecting with Him is always our answer! I really do not think we understand how powerful prayer is, because if we did, we would be praying all day long! When homes are being destroyed. When marriages are being attacked. When children are becoming more and more lost, Hope is not lost…God is still on His Throne, and He is weeping right along with the rest of us. But when His people, who are called by His Name, actually follow what His Word says, there is mighty power released!
Only God can transform our environment, inside and then outside. When people are too weak, hurt or lost to pray for themselves, Church, this is where we’re supposed to step in! We are supposed to be praying for them. We are supposed to be helping others know Him. We are supposed to be that peace that others long to have. We are supposed to be God’s hands and feet. But are we?
If we are not doing the vital things God commands, how can we pray for the hurting and lost? What are the things God is calling us to do, Church? I point us again to 2Chron 7:14, but are we following it?
-Are we humble or filled with selfish Pride?
-Are we praying or trying to figure everything out on our own, thinking WE have all the answers?
-Are we seeking God’s Face, that is wanting to know His Character and then reflecting it, or instead are we displaying our own brokenness?
-Are we repentant and turning away from our wickedness or making it worse by agreeing, and then even celebrating, the world’s sinfulness?
Church, it is Time for us to grow up, and to show up, or our environment will become less and less peaceful!
