Change Your Home’s Smells

Ok, lets be honest, every now and again our home just might have some weird smells we want to get rid of…especially in the bathroom, right? But those convenient “air fresheners” can be deadly! There are over 100 different kinds of chemicals that can come from them! And we are inhaling all that junk? Yikes…

Here’s my solution: I make my own air freshener. How? I use good old distilled water and essential oils. Be sure to use a glass bottle so the plastic (which you know I don’t like anyway) won’t leach the oils out. And also use an amber bottle so light will not degrade the oils too fast. I make a mixture of peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus, lemon grass and some kind of citrus smell and it does the job incredibly well. A couple of sprays into the offending air and the smell is gone. And a bottle of my concoction lasts quite some time too.

Don’t be concerned about the price of these oils because you only need a couple of drops per bottle you make…and besides have you seen the prices of these air freshener products? Always think natural and as close to God made products as possible because it is well worth it…have you picked up on how many times I have said that this week? Seriously, all the changes we make to lessen our exposure to chemicals are well worth it!
