What a great Father we have:
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Rev 21:4 NIV
The order of the old things has passed away. What’s this old order? MMI! Living a life centered on “ME” leads to a very lonely and frustrating life. It is what caused The Downfall in the first place, where humans started loving Self more than others, and even more than God, our Creator. Remember the whole point to life is to love and be loved…but if we each are trying so hard to love ourselves and get love from others, the way we want it, in our terms? Again I say if we each live like that, how can we expect anything but hardships and heart breaks?
This Pride is the root of all evil…but what about if that old order passed away? Ahh, this New Life, where we love God and others with all we’ve got, becomes the only other option. This is one of the countless reasons why Heaven is, well, heavenly. Everyone seeking to help others instead of helping themselves. This reminds me of a powerful story I once heard that illustrated the major difference between Heaven and hell. I will share a short version of it with you tomorrow. See you then…
