Working out is so good for us, hear this verse again:
“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,”
Php 2:12 NIV
So we have Life within us, and now we are working it out of us, so that we can be stronger, and endure whatever comes our way, with peace and joy intact. This is the plan anyway. But if we attempt to go at it all alone, this wonderful process just gets painful! Listen, if we are new to a gym, we should never just jump onto the machines therein without someone teaching us how to use them, right? Again, we might injure ourselves, and others, if we do not rely on a trainer…see where I am going here?
If we need a coach to help us learn simple workout equipment, how much more are we desperate for a Trainer to aid us with Life!?! Enter in the Holy Spirit! He is so seldomly spoken of, yet He is the One through which we connect with God the Father and are able to learn from God the Son! But this is the Humility of God. The Son points us to the Father and the Holy Spirit points us to the Son…so what points us to the Holy Spirit? The life we live in and through Him! As we grow in the spirit, we reflect God’s Holy Spirit, get it? We point to the Holy Spirit and His amazing talent at guiding and comforting and teaching and so on and so on…and as we live this New Life out, because we are working out our Salvation, hopefully others will see God in and through us and want Him for themselves too.
