Once we begin to understand this life is no longer about MMI, we can really begin to live this life.
“Thus it would be a lowly kingdom, not asserting its own interests but observing the agreement so that it would survive.” Ezekiel 17:14 CEB
As we mature in Christ, because this New Creation life requires that we grow up if we truly hope to enjoy it, we understand that we must bring every decision to God to get His guidance and direction. Still too often, we children of God, come up with our own plans and expect God to just give us His stamp of approval, but that is NOT how kingship works. He is the King, we are honored to be His royal subjects.
Royal subjects, did you get that? Again, what an honor to allow us wavering and wandering children be an active part of His Reign on earth and beyond. And all the while not dismissing our Free Will! We get to make so many choices in this life, and some of them God grants even if they are only about MMI. He is a gracious Father Who desires to bless His children…but not indulge us. A long time ago as I was struggling with this concept of Free Will, God clearly spoke to my heart and said, “Child, I have given you the gift of Free Will, not ‘free reign’!” Big difference, my Friends! And so we are to use this Free Will to, freely and willingly, submit to God’s Way over our own.
Love demands that God not let us have our way all the time…we would only get ourselves, and others, into all sorts of trouble! Again, we are awful kings and queens! Selfish to the core we used to be, and now we are learning to leave that mentality and lifestyle behind. There are three types of humans in this world: the natural man, the carnal man and the spiritual man.
