As with many of Mr Lucado’s books, there is a reader’s guide with all sorts of questions to help us go deeper into this important topic of Grace. You can also use it as a Bible study with others. This topic of Grace is at the center of our Salvation and should be reviewed every now and again, so it may be understood deeper and help us live out the Abundant Life fuller.
In the last chapter called “When Grace Happens,” Mr Lucado reminds us of what a precious gift God’s Grace is, towards a people who are so precious in God’s eyes. He says, “This is the gift that God gives. A grace that grants us first the power to receive love and then the power to give it.” (p150) Grace transforms every part of us, if we let it…that is, if we let Him, because we cannot separate God from God’s Grace. Grace is who He is and so it is what He offers. This Grace takes an unworthy sinner and turns us into a beloved, holy child of God, whose eternity is changed forevermore. We don’t do anything but answer His call. We merely lift up our empty, broken hands towards God in surrender and in praise. God has done the rest. Just receive it for the first time, or the 101st time…and let God change your life.
May you sense God’s Grace in tangible ways today. We will begin our next “set of books” tomorrow…see you then.
