God grants us all sorts of gifts, all the time. We must learn to become sensitive enough to recognize and praise God for them. The Chosen TV show is certainly a gift and so important for such a time as this. It helps us visualize some of the Bible narratives. It expands our understanding of how Jesus related to all the various groups of people He encountered. And it opens up a major opportunity to speak to others about the Gospel in a non-threatening way. It’s a show after all. Who doesn’t want to sit and be entertained? But of course, this is so, so much more than just entertainment! Lives are being changed forevermore, my Friends. I do hope you will watch it if you haven’t, and you will share it with others if you have.
Once we belong to God, it is everyone’s responsibility and privilege to share the Good News with whoever God places before us. Sometimes this means acting in away that is unexpected, like staying calm in the midst of crisis. Sometimes it means being overly generous, like paying for another person’s dinner without them knowing it. And others times it does mean talking about your Faith and the changes Jesus has made in your life. Wearing a “Jesus shirt,” as I call them, can be one way to help others think about God, Faith and Salvation without saying a word. And of course, you can share how you’ve been bingeing Jesus through The Chosen series. While we never force our beliefs on anyone, we definitely should spread the seeds of our Faith whenever possible. Then we pray over them and trust God to implant them and grow them as He sees fit. One thing we will not hear from Jesus when our time here is done is, “Why didn’t so-and-so believe in your Faith?” But what we never want to hear is, “Why didn’t you share your Faith with so-and-so?” So go out today and spread the news!
