Say this wonderful verse by heart with me today, and let’s thank God for it!
“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Ps 139:16 NIV
God has seen every part of our personality, knows every thing we will think, say and do, and He desires us to have, enjoy and share all the goodness He has planned for “all the days” of our lives too. To have life means we have surrendered “our” life to Jesus as Savior and Lord. Once we place our Hope in Christ, we HAVE Eternal Life. (see Salvation)
To enjoy life means we begin to grow in God’s Love and Grace to become more and more like Him. The closer we get to that original person God wanted us to be, the more we will appreciate life, benefit from every circumstance and take deeper pleasure in the good moments which help us ENJOY this Eternal Life. (see Sanctification)
To share life means we do not keep Jesus, nor the goodness He brings, to ourselves. We live lives that display we are New Creations in Christ. We talk about the ways He is transforming us and enhancing our life. We invite others to know Him for themselves. In our appearance, words and actions we give others around us a taste of Who God is, and by doing so we SHARE this Eternal Life. (see Service)
The way we participate in doing the good works God prepared for us to do is by wanting to know God and making Him known. This is a huge part of that original person God designed us to be…and the more we allow verses like this one to leave us in awe of our Loving Creator, the more we can achieve this beautiful goal: to love God with all we’ve got and love our neighbor as we love ourselves. There is no higher commandment than Love and this amazing Life God gives us is the way we live love.
