Our Loving Creator designed us to be the special, unique human He pictured we could be.
“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Ps 139:16 NIV
So when God first created humans, He said that His creation was very good. (Gen 1:31) This is when Adam and Eve walked in the cool of the day with God, in full union with Him, you know, before sin entered into the picture. But then these immature first humans chose to listen to someone other than God, and their DNA became mutated. Now evil entered into their hearts and they began living with that Prideful MMI mentality instead of being like God, loving Him and each other selflessly. But remember, God is Omniscient and knew this would happen. And so He also planned to send Jesus to bring things back to the way they should have always been.
Now in Christ, we have the potential to allow God to re-create us back into that original selfless state, that we would have been, had sin not entered into us and deformed our nature. Now, as we grow in Christ, He will guide us back to this holy person we were always meant to be. God saw who we could be if sin never came into the world, but He stills sees who we can be in spite of the presence of sin in this world. The more we work with God, choosing His Way over our own, the closer to this pure image we can become. This is the plan…but the amazing thing is that, every step of the way, God loves us completely!
