God is our Omnipresent, our Omniscient and our Omnipotent Creator, Who knitted us together in our mother’s womb.
“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Ps 139:16 NIV
God sees you, do you know that? Sometimes we feel like we are invisible in this busy, hustle and bustle world we live in, but the God Who created you, He saw you before your newly shaped lungs breathed your first breath, before your tiny formed heart beat its first thump, before your little fabricated brain formed its first thought. God saw you… and He loved you. As I said before, verse 13 of this lovely Psalm says God knit us together in our mother’s womb, and if you have ever seen a picture of the DNA molecule, you can see how this is literally true. I would love to get all “science nerdy” on you right now, because this just fascinates me, but I won’t. Just know that God creates each human being, at the moment of conception, with our own individuality by pairing up four different nitrogenous bases with their specific mate. Adenine is always paired with Thymine and Cytosine always with Guanine, and from these pairings each human is made unique and special…this is one of the many reasons this Psalm also says that we humans are “fearfully and wonderfully made”! (Ps 139:14)
Ok, I’ll stop with the geeky stuff, but think about every thought that went into creating you specifically. Not only did God select the parents that would bring us into this world. Not only did God choose the color of our hair and eyes. Not only did God determine how tall we would be, but God knew exactly how to put each of us together so that we would like the things that delight us, and have no interest in the things we could do without. Every facet of our being was purposely assembled so that we would have the potential of being the person He originally designed, and desired us to be. Please note I said we have the “potential” of being that person. More tomorrow…
