2- Breastplate of Righteousness! Because God loves us (Belt of Truth), He has imparted this great gift to those who have surrendered our lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior. This gift of righteousness means that we are in right standing with God, no matter what nonsense we still do! He has justified us…I love how I heard a pastor say it, “Justified is ‘just as if I’d’ never sinned.” Righteousness is our position with God, from the moment of Salvation until all Eternity.
Because we are still imperfect child who, to be honest, can be very stubborn at times, we still sin. But the ACT of sinning is different than the HEART of sinning. In God’s eyes, we have been made clean. All our sins- past, present and future- have been wiped away by the Blood of the Lamb. By God’s Grace through the Faith He has given us, which we simply decide to use to trust Him, our position with Him will never change. We will never be unrighteous again, even if we ACT like it. Again, this is a most amazing gift from God! Thank God for His blessed assurance!
