Hi Friends,
There is a huge difference between conviction and condemnation. One is the only right response when we find ourselves in the Presence of God and the other should no longer be in our lives once we surrender to Jesus as Savior and Lord. Let’s look at these two verses and talk about it, shall we?…
Hi Friends,
We all want peace and joy in our lives and for things to somehow work to our benefit, yet we are ignoring the most important and vital part of being able to have that kind of life. We are forgetting The Creator of Life. Since God is the Maker of life as we know it, only God gets to say how it should function in a healthy way. In a way indeed where every human who follows His Plan, can have this amazing life we all desire. This doesn’t mean life is going to be easy, but it does mean it’s going to be fulfilling in spite of the challenges….
3-30-20 Lord, Help Me Do My Part 2Chron 7:14
Hi Friends,
How amazing is it that god placed on my heart this year to write my blogs about simple, powerful prayers we can lift up to Him? Coincidence? I don’t believe in them! God is reaching out and knocking on our hearts, Church! Prayer is SO much more powerful than we understand. Let’s hear God speaking today to us in this amazing verse, and please notice God is speaking to HIS people, to you and me, my Friends! Let’s choose to heed His Word, shall we? Listen:
“if My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2Chron 7:14 NIV my emphasis)
1- If we will humble ourselves. Pride is the root of all evil, so it’s opposite, Humility, is the root of all that is good. Humility is having a balanced view of who we are, especially in light of Who God is! What are we compared to Him?…
Hi Friends,
Transformation requires that we change our old bad habits into new good habits. What is the simplest way to do this? Listen to God’s Wisdom:
“He must become greater; I must become less.” Jn 3:30 NIV
One way we can change an old, negative habit is by just stopping it, right? But that often doesn’t work for very long because we leave a vacuum in its place. In other words, we have to fill that time up with something and, if we don’t, we will be tempted to go back to that old thing and nothing will have really changed. For example, let’s say you want to quit smoking. The habit you have formed is lighting up after you have your morning coffee. You certainly can just not reach for the cigarettes, but habits are like a force…you’ve heard the term “force of habit,” right? That’s a real thing….
