In any relationship, the reality is someone is going to do something wrong towards the other person which will hamper their growing friendship. This is true for us with our connection to God too. Sooner or later, we are going to mess up because we are imperfect children of God, still learning how to trust and obey. WHEN we sin, we need to confess to God who is Faithful to forgive us. (1John 1:9)
PLEASE understand, this is NOT a matter of Salvation, but it can be a blockage to how we hear the Holy Spirit in our heart. It shows our maturity when we disobey to humble ourselves and ask God for forgiveness. When, not if but when we sin, we need to pray our confession to God and He restores the flow of Grace, from Him to us, then through us. Confession unburdens our heart, clears our soul and helps us move forward in life, more humble, and hopefully, more loving towards others who may offend us in the future.

2- Connection to our God
3- Correction from our Merciful God
4- Comfort from our Caring Father
5- Confirmation of God’s Truth
6- Confession to clear our Soul
