Hallelujah we are redeemed in every sense of the word!
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” Ro 8:1 NIV
Redeemed because 1- Jesus, the Son, is our Atonement. Redeemed because 2- we now belong to The Father forevermore, and can live the life we were designed to live. And also redeemed because 3- we are not going to get it right all the time! This is where the Holy Spirit within each believer is so vital! He works it all together for good…that means the Holy Spirit is always doing several things within our growing hearts.
The Holy Spirit convicts us: while condemnation speaks about the person themselves, conviction talks about the act only. The Holy Spirit is a discerning power within us to show us what we are doing right, as well as what we are still doing wrong. The more we mature in Christ, the more sensitive we become to His Voice so that we can become more aware, and more quickly aware, of the moments we are not following the Holy example of Jesus. This should not make us feel badly about ourselves and push us away from God, like condemnation attempts to do. Instead, this should draw us closer to God so that we can receive the correction we need to change our ways. This is vital if we really want to grow. We will continue tomorrow with another way the Holy Spirit is our Helper…
