One more thing I want to point out, about our New Life in Christ, is that all our relationships have changed. First and most importantly, we now have a relationship with God our Creator. Before Christ, under the influence of the enemy, we belonged to MMI. While God knew us, and could move us also, we did not know Him nor recognize we could be moved by Him. Even if, like me, we admitted God was real, we still lived life as if we were on the throne of our own life. After Christ? That has all changed…inside of us anyway. In Salvation, we admit we need God. We surrender our lives to Jesus as our Savior and begin to live life with Him as our Lord too.
Secondly, our relationship with ourselves change. We begin to receive God’s Love so we can have mercy on ourselves as He continues this transformation process. This means we begin to love who we are on the way to who we are becoming. Every time we fall, because we will, we admit we fell and run back to God so He may clean us up and move us forward once again.
Lastly, our relationships with others should change too. The Love and Mercy we are receiving from God towards ourselves should then be given to those around us too. We will seek ways to be a blessing, just like God is blessing us. We will begin to pray for others more, and without waiting for their requests for prayer. We will begin to invite them to into our hearts more. To want to share our lives and Faith more. To maybe bring them to a Bible study classes with us. In other words, we will live love more.
Yet there is one more relationship that must change in order for all these to grow…leave me a comment below if you know where I am heading.
