Do we really understand what an honor and privilege it is to NOT live for MMI anymore?!

It is good that our kingdoms are lowly. Before I surrendered my life to Jesus as my King, I was on the throne and, man!, I was miserable! I had to not only try to manage myself, but I attempted to control everyone and everything around me too. Impossible! And so I was frustrated or depressed a whole lot. I knew there was something missing in me, but I had no idea what “it” was. Until my Beckie Pie was diagnosed with brain cancer and fell into that first comatose state…then I desperately came down off my false throne and invited Jesus to take His rightful place in my heart and life.
We try to sit on the thrones of our lives though, don’t we? We think we know how life should go, and not only our own, but everyone else’s around us too. We feel like we have the power within us to make the right decisions, again not only for us, but for those around us too. We want everything to go our way, according to our desires, and once again, we also want those around us to submit to those desires too. The truth is, we are awful kings and queens! We barely know what is going on this very minute much less do we clearly remember yesterday, and we have any clue about tomorrow. Yet we try to reign! And inevitably, we fail…this is where I was when I finally surrendered to the King of kings and He began to have dominion over me….and the truth his, He is still working on that! What a very patient King we serve! More tomorrow…
