Go Out To Face Them

Notice here that God was commanding the Jews to do something physical too. This was their part in the whole miracle:

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.’” 2Chron 20:17 NIV

Go out to face them tomorrow. This is all they had to do, God would do all the rest. And why did God want them to do that much? Because this would display their position of Faith and how they were standing firm in their Hope in God. When I faced the doctors and insisted they operate, when Joe faced the ones trying to rip us apart and confidently said what he did, when I spoke gently to the neurosurgeon and encouraged him as much as I could…all this was us going out and displaying our belief in God. This too was the power of Christ in us! Even before my husband surrendered to Jesus as Savior and Lord, Jesus was already working in him, to keep him strong and to keep us united. This is another battle only God can fight victoriously!

Whatever you are going through, my Friends, do not allow fear and discouragement to keep you from facing your enemies. You and I never fight alone…even when we are not being mindful of God’s Presence and Power, He is working in and through us. Oh but how much more wonderful is it when we are being aware of His Love and Grace! Choose to take your position of Faith. Choose to stand firm in Hope. And let God display His Love as He delivers us from the strongest of enemies as you simply go out and face them. We can do all this because of one thing. We will wrap it up tomorrow…
