Let’s get to the last Pillar of Physical Health, which is our environment. As with every Pillar, there is an overlapping between each one, so we have already spent several weeks touching on our internal environment from the viewpoint of relaxation. This week let’s take some steps further outside of ourselves by moving to what should be our most stress-free surroundings, our home.
Having a stress free home is so very important for us, as well as for our growth in Christ. Where we live should be our sanctuary, the place where we feel free to be who we are, as we are becoming who we will be. This should be a place of no judgment or ridicule. This should be a safe setting to speak freely and honestly. This should be the one realm where only love is given and received…notice all the “should be’s”? Sadly, this does not come naturally to us humans because we are all imperfect and broken. So let’s talk about some things we can do to help us move toward this desired place, so we can develop a home environment where we can have more peace and less stress.
