Hopelessness is one of the saddest situations we humans can find ourselves in. Hear this verse again:
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1Co 13: 13 NIV
Hope is nothing at all like wishful thinking. Hope in Christ is a solid, unmovable foundation for everything we do in life. Once we place our Faith in God and receive His Salvation (see Eph 2:8), then we can have Hope and make all our decisions based on this Hope. Again, I shared that story “Crazy Faith” with you all a couple of weeks ago and point to it again (link below), but it was my Hope in God, and what He had put on my heart, that led me to make all the choices I did, and the miracle we experienced still leaves me speechless. Hope is the strength we require to keep on keeping on, especially when things do not seem to be changing. It tells us that, no matter what things may look like, God is still working them all together for our good…remember last week?
Hope fills us with expectations and excitement that something good will happen, even in the midst of things that may not be good at all. Hope makes life worth living, because to be hopeless leads to a life filled with despair, anguish, misery, distress and so on…nothing good comes from it. Ahh but when we have Hope…it leads to the greatest of these…
