Let’s repeat the words of Jesus together by heart today:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Jn 10:10 ESV
My Friends, once we belong to Jesus and begin to live this Abundant Life He offers, others will notice, and hopefully, we will leave a lasting impact on them. Whether this means bringing them to Christ so they too can become born again and have this New Life in abundance, as well as enter Heaven some day. Whether this means making videos that hopefully reach hundreds of thousands to help them know Jesus and live a life to make Him known. 🙂 Or whether this means making the lives of those around us more peaceful and joyful as they go about their days here, we are impacting those around us, so this Abundant Life reaches far beyond just “little old me.” This is one of the amazing phenomenon about the Christian life. It is not about ME.
As we embrace this New Life and live it out in ways that are not “normal,” we capture the attention of other hungry hearts who want to be able to have peace in the midst of chaos. Who want to remain strong and joyful even when life gets crushing. Who want to have their life’s story be about how they were always stable and consistent in all types of circumstances. Our Salvation is not just for ourselves, we talked about this before. And you know what happens to our lives when we can reach out and be this kind of blessing to others around us? It becomes even more abundant! This is the New Life in Christ, and I am so very grateful for this free gift.
