“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jn 3:16 NIV
Eternal Life begins the moment we sincerely believe in God’s Love, in the work of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. No more living like we used to live because we are New Creations in Christ. Oh I can point us to so many wonderful Bible verses right here! But I will end by simply reminding us that, the more of God’s Word we learn by heart, the more power we will have to live according to this New Life within us. We are not saved so we can go to Heaven… someday…. when our time is done here. We are saved so we can be transformed into this New Life and bring it to others so they can be transformed too, then they can bring others to Christ and those people can have Life and so on and so on. One more time, think Ripples.
The entire point to Salvation is to have, enjoy and share this New Life with those around us, bringing glory to the God who created us and who so loves us that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
