In Christ, we are NEW! Here’s one of my favorite verses that talks about this New Identity:
Today’s verse: 2Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!”
Because God has given us a New Way to live that offers us His New Mercies every day, we can choose to surrender our lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior. The moment we do so, the Holy Spirit comes to unite with our dead spirits bringing Life Everlasting. He changes our identity. We are no longer dead, but alive…no longer sinners, but saints!
As we take hold of this New Identity in Christ, we begin to think differently, control our emotions, and desire the things that will ultimately lead us to experience the Abundant Life more and more. Lastly, our habits change to reflect God’s Goodness too…more tomorrow…
