You are God’s masterpiece, filled with beauty and creativity. Let God show you what He is creating.
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Eze 36:26 NIV
I felt God tell me quite some time ago, “Child, I did not create you. I AM creating you!” See God is not done with us yet. He is intimately involved in every aspect of our being, whether we acknowledge Him or not. This is certainly not to say He has anything to do with our foolish choices…no, that’s on us. But, thankfully, it does mean He can work even our selfishness together for our good. Our part? Be aware of His Presence. Work with God, instead of against Him. Allow Him to display this beautiful new heart and new life to the world, who is so hungry for something real. Something peace-filled. Something steady and consistent. We can give that to the world around us, if we keep working with God Who is working in and through us.
This world craves joy. If you are not sure, just look at any advertisement to see what they are pushing. “If you buy this, your life will be complete because look at how happy you will be!” And whatever that thing is, it might attempt to fill that hole in you for a second or two, but then, there you are again, empty inside. This was my life before I met Jesus. Before He came running to me on that dark night as my daughter slipped into that first coma, I was empty. Not because I didn’t have all sorts of worldly stuff, but because there is only One Who could ever permanently patch this void within me. I hope you know Him for yourself.
