1- Belt of Truth: God loves me
2- Breastplate of Righteousness: because God loves me, He has made me in right standing with Him
3- Shoes of Peace: because God loves me and He has made me in right standing with Him, I can walk in peace with Him
4- Shield of Faith: because God loves me and He has made me in right standing with Him and I can walk in peace with Him, I can trust God no matter what circumstances I find myself in. With Him, guarded by this shield of Faith, no fiery arrow from the enemy will be able to affect nor infect me. His lies cannot penetrate my mind. His pridefulness cannot cause my emotions to run wild. And his corruption cannot take me off the path God has set before me. With Faith, I can say as Jesus did, “Not my will but Your Will be done.”
Being able to trust God in the high’s and low’s of life, no matter what others say, no matter what things may look like, grants us a stability to keep on loving Him and loving others. This, benefits us and blesses those around us while glorifying God. After all, that is why we were created. Trust Him…because He loves you, has made you in right standing with Him and is at peace with you. See how these weapons all come together for our benefit?
