If you will bear with me, I want to share just a little more background on this amazing show. As I mentioned yesterday, one of the reasons The Chosen is so very popular is because of how they are portraying our Jesus. Sometimes religion can sanitize our Savior and put Him so high on a pedestal that we just cannot relate to Him. Because of this, too many end up turning away from the only One who truly knows the depths of our hearts. And yes, Jesus certainly deserves that pedestal… yet, He came down into this world so that we may come to know Him, intimately and personally, the way He knows each one of us. It is all about relationships and this, I believe, is what makes the show so incredibly powerful. It is only a real friendship with Jesus that can bring Salvation, and so, it is not surprising how many letters the creators of this show receive talking about how the viewers were converted when they began to watch the series. This show is changing eternity, do you get that? If that is not powerful, I am not sure what is.
Jesus is Divine, no doubt, AND He is also very Human. This show displays Jesus in ways that are so much more personal, and more welcoming, which is exactly the God that He truly is. I genuinely think people are craving a God who understands us and has been where we are, felt what we feel, cried real tears like we do… and overcame it all. The Chosen shows this side of Jesus so compassionately that, praise God, the hunger of this world is eating this show up. And so many are turning to God’s Word, the Bible, in response! Again praise God!
So where can you watch The Chosen? Thankfully, there are several ways you can “Binge Jesus.” just like my shirt says. For instance, if you have a subscription to Amazon Prime, search and enjoy. But if you want to see it for free, and don’t mind waiting, you can watch The Chosen on the good old fashioned TV programming channel via the CW network every Sunday at 8pm ET/PT, but check your local listings.
