“I am right, so they must be wrong!” Do we even recognize this as a lie? Or is this just the way we think about every relationship we have? Again, this is a Pride issue, my Friends, and it is the lie we believe if we only think in terms of MMI. Do we see a little clearer how Pride is the root of all evil? It can destroy relationships and fill our lives with misery and loneliness. Again, since it is not good for man to be alone, life becomes “not good.” This is as far away from God’s original design as it gets. Could this be one of the major symptoms of what is going on in our world today?
We are all so quick to give our own personal views, but are we as quick to listen to the viewpoint of others? Man, have I struggled with this this past year and a half. But no more! By God’s Grace, I am seeing this lie for what it is. it is the way the real enemy keeps us from fulfilling the whole point to life, to love others and be loved by them in return. Would you join me today and put your foot down! No more thinking I am right. Instead I am seeking God and allowing Him to make be righteous. There’s a huge difference between the two, you know that? Being right OR being righteous.
While we need others who are like us, we may need even more of those who are not. You see, the truth is…well, we will talk about that tomorrow…
