Joined with Christ, as we are becoming one with Him, we humans can do miraculous things. The whole point has always been for us to be together with God. We were never meant to live this life apart from Him. Indeed we cannot, thus death and its horrible symptoms that we discussed a couple of weeks ago. (link below) Through Christ. This is how we are able to do all things. We are desperate for Him still, my Friends! Jesus is still saving us from our old self and the sin that comes from that fallen nature. Jesus is still cleansing our hearts. Jesus is still reconciling us when we mess up. His sacrifice is what brings us together, and keeps us together, with God and others. He is still our Savior. And it is only through Him that we can have, enjoy and share this New Life.
We are important to God, but only Jesus is vital. It is when we try to do things on our own, leaning on our own understanding, that difficulties arise. Again, by God’s Grace, will things work out? Maybe not always the way we think they should, but they do work together for our good many more times than we deserve, for sure. When we do mess up, God is not trying to make us feel bad, that doesn’t help us grow. But He wants us to turn to Him and learn from our errors, because that sure does help us grow. Again, if we walk too fast or too slow, if we try to step out of God’s Will and Timing, it will be clearly apparent we are not walking in pace with Him, if we are paying attention. Go back and listen again to those death symptoms we talked about. The moment you sense one of those, come back to Jesus and remember it is only THROUGH Him that we can do all things.
