We Help Direct Others Too

Dt 30:19 spells out our choices: Life and death, blessings and curses.

If we choose Life, like God commands us to by the way, then we will sense His blessings even in challenging times. Our perspective is that we trust God and know He will work it all together for our good, so we can stay in a place of peace and joy, no matter what is going on. (Ro 8:28)

If we choose our own way, that “death mode,” then we can expect to feel like we are cursed, because even the good times won’t feel like good times since all we will sense is the struggle. Our perspective will be on the problems instead of the One Who is the Solution! We will choose to react instead of respond. We will choose to get confused, scared and angry instead of maintain our peace. And we will feel the darkness of the circumstance overwhelm us instead of allowing the Joy of the Lord to strengthen us.

Our choices matter because they do not only affect us. Others around us are watching to see what it means to be a Christian. The more we choose Faith over fear, for instance, hopefully the more they will want to do the same too. As we grow, we help others find their way to Jesus and the Abundant Life too!

Another HUGE key in choosing Life over death, more and more, is in knowing WHO you are in Christ…more about that next week. Have a blessed Sunday!
