what WE want

The answer to does God answer every prayer is simply, YES! But, of course, it is not always in the way we would like Him to answer. It always comes down to whether we trust God or not. This was the test in the Garden of Eden, and it is still our test now.

There are four ways God answers prayer. Today let’s talk about the one we love the most: direct. Direct is when God says, “Yes. Here you go. Trust Me.” When we first walk with God, this answer is probably the major thing that helps us grow in our relationship with Him. But the truth is, direct is not always what is best for us. If God were to give us whatever we want, whenever we want, however we want…do you notice all the “we’s” there? We would just become spoiled brats, feeling entitled to our way…which causes all sorts of havoc! This kind of thinking would make God our servant instead of us being His! No, direct is lovely, but it is not the best thing for us growing children of God. In God’s wisdom many times it is much better for us, and those around us, if God answers the other three ways. We will talk about the next one tomorrow…

1- Direct: Yes. Here you go. Trust Me.
