Not Only What You Eat

Nutrition and hydration. I would like us to focus on the first two pillars for the next couple of weeks because they are so vital for our physical health. We could probably spend months on this, but I want to share with you some tips to help you now, and hopefully, get you interested to do some more research. What I want to share today is that we are not just what we eat, but more specifically, we are what we absorb. With food, there are many things that can determine the nutrients we are really taking in. For instance, if we are rushing around, gulping our lunch while being distracted and anxious, it has been proven that we will not absorb all the good vitamins, minerals, etc we might be taking in. So even though we are changing what we eat, we are still not getting the full benefits from those healthier choices. We must be aware of our environment and how we feel as we eat. The calmer we are, the more focused on our meal and truly enjoying what we are taking in, the more rewards we will reap.

Today’s tip: pay attention to what you eat, the environment where you eat & how you feel as you eat, because it all affects what you will absorb from the good choices you are making
