God Will Make It Clear

I encourage you to find your spiritual gift, or gifts, by using anyone of the many gift assessment tools, as I mentioned last week. Again, a link to the one I use is below. Everyone has at least one gift, if not more, but this is not just for your personal knowledge. Once you know your gifts, please, then lean on God to show you where and how to use them for His glory.

If you are still not sure what to do with the gifts you seem to have, start anywhere. For instance, I know my gift is to teach, but when I wasn’t sure where to use this gift, I tried to start with Sunday school at my local church….and I very quickly learned that this was NOT where God wanted me. Sometimes knowing His Will is very swift and obvious! Children are NOT my audience, for sure. I was frustrated and discontent and simply not enjoying my time with them. Don’t get me wrong, I love kids, but not teaching them. What’s interesting though is that I loved putting the class lessons together, but actually teaching children who are rambunctious and energetic and all over the place, left me completely drained and not looking forward to the next class. Again, even though I knew my gift, it was obvious God did not want me teaching the little ones. So I moved on to adults, and Praise God, I found my Sweet Spot!

Ok, the truth is some adults can act like little children too, but God has granted me a gift to help adults stay on track and focus on the lesson at hand. My point is, sometimes we have to use trial and error to find our place in the Kingdom.
