Wonderful promise:
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Mt 5:4 NIV
In a world of misinformation, please let the Bible be clear on this matter: there are only one of two destinies each of us will encounter when we leave this world. Listen to the book of Daniel 12:2
“Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”
Heaven OR hell. One OR the other. Please do not allow some old religious customs to fool you into thinking you can somehow go somewhere else and, somehow, pay your way out of a place of mild torment then move on to Heaven after. If you must believe in purgatory then take a look around you, you’re in it now! And there is no way…nor any need…for you or me to pay for our sins. This is what our Lord Jesus has already done FOR us on that Cross! What an insult to still think that MMI can still do something about this, on our own! Talk about Pride! If you are still not convinced, listen to Jesus, Himself tell you. You can read the whole story in Mt 25: 31-46, but here are verses 31-34, 41 and 46
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world…. Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels…. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
One of two destinies. That’s all. And it all hinges on your answer to one question. We will wrap it up tomorrow…
