We can choose to rejoice and be glad, no matter what is going on around us…this is one of the many blessings our New Identity in God has granted us.
“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Ps 118:24 NLT
Hi Friends, Diane here. This is the day. You and I are here, right now, in the situations we find ourselves in, on purpose and for a purpose. The Lord has made this day. In other words, He has already seen everything that has, is and will happen in your life, and He has planned for each thing that occurs today, to be a blessing to you, not a curse. Now depending on our level of Faith in God, we will experience them as the blessing He desires them to be…or we won’t.
Yes, the good, the bad and even the ugly are meant to grant us victory in the long run. The good things, the difficult things and the things that seem to make your world cave in on itself, are carefully, and compassionately, choreographed by God to mature us, more and more, into His Image. All these things, God has allowed for our benefit. But if we do not know WHO we are in Christ, if we are not confident in God’s Love and Grace, then we will see each thing that happens differently than God intends.
Remember my example from yesterday? God is in the driver’s seat, not us, so He sees our life from a different vantage point than we do. When Joe was driving, I thought he was getting too close to the car in front of us, and that we were going to get into an accident. But from the drivers seat, he could clearly see that there was plenty of room to maneuver. It is the same with God and us, my Friends. From His Eternal viewpoint, God knows what will be beneficial to us, and what will not…but if we push it, He will let us have our own way. That is when we just might get hurt…but even this God has worked together for our good. If we choose to trust Him.
