Whatever we plant, will grow, so we must watch what we plant.
“Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Pr 18:21 BSB
Hi Friends, Diane here. All vegetation starts out as seeds. As I said earlier this week, if we plant corn, then corn is what we will get. If we think death thoughts, then death is what we will get. But if we learn to be more and more aware of what we are thinking, then we can stop planting those bad seeds, and begin sowing life instead. A huge part of maturing in Christ is being aware of our inner thought life. If it is in us, eventually it will come out of us. This is life and how we bear the fruit of our tongue.
Like seeds, the words we think are little pods filled with potential. If we think death thoughts, then these words have the potential to hurt. But if we think the way God teaches us to think, see Php 4:8, then these words have the potential to help. Life or death…in everything we think, say and do…has the possibility to bless or to curse.
