Environment is everything from our inner world which only God can clean up, to our entire planet which you and I are supposed to be cleaning up, and keeping clean. For instance, is it that difficult to drink from cups instead of using straws? Does it really take too much of our time to recycle, or better yet buy reusable products? Or does it actually cut into our busy schedule to stop and call someone who we know is struggling? Jesus knows about interruptions in His Life…after all what could be more of an inconvenience than the Cross? No guilt here…see Ro 8:1…but I am trying to shake us out of our MMI life style, and help us see there is so much good you and I could be doing.
Whether God moves you to clean the oceans, start a community garden or spend some time with a hurting friend, it is our privilege, and responsibility, to leave the environment better because we have passed through it. This is a lesson I continue to learn…won’t you join me?
