Day 15 Bold Prayer

Hi friends,

Regrettably, the media is not giving us a complete picture of how this pandemic is really affecting its human victims. They are only telling us half of the picture and not even coming close to focusing on things that would help us make better choices to be on the side of those recovering instead of those getting gravely ill. While the number counts of those infected and those passing away are vital to know, it would help us more if we had the numbers of how many are surviving this outbreak. Please pray for the families of those who have lost a loved one, for God’s comfort and peace to be upon them. The issue, however, that can help us from becoming casualties of this real war is to understand the difference between those passing away and those recuperating.

Here’s what we know: we know that those who are immunocompromised or have underlying diseases are, unfortunately, more susceptible to getting the pneumonia which is the major cause of deaths. We also know that many are infected but getting better, so what would help us is to talk about why this is happening. If the problem was JUST this new virus, then everyone would be unwell. Sadly, it seems one of the main differences between those who are getting seriously ill from this COVID-19 and those who are infected, but healing, is their overall health. It is heart breaking that their immune systems are not able to fight off this invasive virus and so they get very sick. Yet those recovering seem to have a stronger immune response.

So my point is, if the problem is not just this virus, but the condition of their health, then we can do something more today to boost our immune systems so that we will be able to better fight this thing off, IF we encounter it. In addition to all the other regulations that have been implemented, it would be wise to look into simple actions we can take right now to increase our immune makeup. For instance, taking Vitamin C and Zinc which are nutrients that help our bodies heal. Making sure we have a balanced, healthy diet of whole, organic foods can increase our health. De-stressing by doing things that bring pleasure like watching a comedy, singing good music, dancing around with our children, revisiting a hobby you used to love, and so on. And of course, praying and reading God’s Word is the best medicine.

Boosting our immune systems and overall health. This can be a very powerful ingredient to lowering our potential for getting infected and/or having damage because of an infection. Talk about lowering the curve! This can eliminate it, IF we all make the “sacrifices” needed to improve our overall health. The great thing is that this will have lasting benefits for us into the future. I am writing a paper on several actions we can take, NOW, to decrease our risks of, not only staving off this virus, but also lowering the potential of coming down with the chronic illnesses which cause us all the health problems later in life. I will be uploading this FREE resource within a day or so on to my website, so please keep posted.

Please remember, Church, this amazing body of ours is God’s Temple and we must respect it. Join me in making the good lifestyle changes now so that we may be able to live the healthy and vibrant Abundant Life God always desired us to live.

By the way, Happy Palm Sunday!!!

Until we meet again, keep listing your eyes to god, He’s closer than you think.

<>< Peace, Diane

  1. HI Diane! my sentiments exactly! we know the media likes to keep everyone in a state of “panic” …. when I first heard about this going on in China, I started researching and that’s the best we can do – besides social distancing, washing hands, etc.. we need to build up our immunity – Vitamin C, D, Zinc and Turmeric I’ve found in many doctors literature. And good quality sleep and keeping stress down as much as possible:)

    1. Yes, we have to do all we can to defend ourselves and, improving our immune system, is our best defense. I have written a FREE eBook with more applications we can implement NOW to keep us healthy, through these challenging times, as well as into the future. Stay tuned, it should be out this week. Thanks!
