Hi Friends,
Let’s get something straight, Church, God is not mad AT you- He is mad ABOUT you! He wants you to have the most fulfilling life here, and then an Eternity of Paradise forevermore! The only way to have all this goodness is to live life God’s Way, not ours. Since God created everything that is seen and unseen, only He knows how, and has the right to say how, it should work. When you make your own world, then you will get to say! But since that is not our reality, we have to watch the choices we are making moment by moment.
We make thousands of decisions every day, but what is the quality of those choices? Are we choosing Life or death? Listen to this amazing verse from the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 30 verse 19: “Today I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life so that you and your children may live.” As we choose life, more and more, we will get blessings- if we continue to choose death, then curses is what we should expect.
We should, increasingly, make godly choices. Pass everything through the Holy Spirit BEFORE we act. We suffer the “symptoms of death” when we do not choose life. Things like frustration, confusion, depression, anger, bitterness, loneliness…fill in the blank with your brand of brokenness…these were NEVER part of God’s original plan for humanity. They are the results of choosing death- our temporary, limited, selfish way- over Life- God’s eternal, unending, Selfless Love. So today, choose Life!
