Eyes On You

Life is challenging, so we have to learn to pray this lovely prayer, listen:

“Our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”

2Chron 20:12 NIV

Because we are called to reflect God, and not MMI, we can cry out to God when life is…well, life! When the hard things come our way, when others seem to be causing us unnecessary problems, when we feel overwhelmed and weary…this prayer should lift us up.

“…but our eyes are on You.” What a lovely thing to put into practice! You see, if we keep our eyes on this world, with all its injustices and corruption and selfishness and so on, then how can we not be overwhelmed. The real enemy will try to fill our minds with all the things that have gone, and are going wrong in our lives, and down we go. This has been my reality lately. There has been one challenge after the other in my life ever since my Baby Girl became ill. It seems like for 21 years, trouble has followed me. The enemy desires for this darkness to consume me…but here’s the Good News, in Christ, I don’t need to let that darkness in! You see, it only “SEEMS like” every is going wrong when I do not have my eyes of God. But the moment I place my focus, my attention, my thoughts on God? He reminds me of all the good that has happened, and life once again, becomes good. Nothing changes and everything change when we place our eyes on God! One again, this requires surrender…
