When each of us does our part, then the whole body of water should be filled with lovely interconnected ripples. This is what relationships are supposed to be like here in this world, everyone in, and sharing, friendships, connecting everyone to one another. But the sad reality is that, way too many people are not within any of these ripples. They do not feel like they belong anywhere. They do not think anyone cares about them. The are not able to reach out for whatever reason, and loneliness becomes a real tragedy of The Downfall. But it doesn’t have to be this way, my Friends. You and I can make a difference.
Especially during this holy time of the year, let’s make it our goal to meet 12 extra people, one for each of the “12 days of Christmas.” This means stepping out of our comfort zones. This means being aware of others around us. This means investing our time, talents and treasures into God’s Kingdom by loving others in His Name. But it also means we will be filling our own lives with all the different types of relationships we were meant to have, and so, increasing the abundance of our own lives. And this also means fulfilling the whole point to life, to love and be loved.
